History: Dating back to 1736, Ilex cottage was originally the coach house to Upton House Estate. The name is derived from the mature evergreen oak tree in the garden, reputedly the largest in the area. Now fully modernised the house, which retains many character features, provides three en-suite guest rooms with every comfort. In recognising the quality of our accommodation, we have been awarded four diamonds (maximum is 5) by the English tourist board.
